CLARE BALDING OBE TO SIGN HER NEW BOOK AT THE BOOKSHOP
**FRIDAY 19th SEPTEMBER 1-2pm**
(Free event – just turn-up. Books must be bought from The Hungerford Bookshop).
Clare Balding OBE is one of Britain’s leading and best-loved broadcasters. Since the publication of her memoir, My Animals and Other Family in 2012 she is also a number one bestselling author. The presenter looks set to repeat that success with the release of her new book, Walking Home: My Family and Other Rambles.
Starting out on her broadcasting career, she was asked to present a series of walks with interesting people. Some fifteen hundred miles of footpaths later she discovered the true glories of Britain and caught the walking bug. Wanting to get her family hooked she decided to take them on the seventy-mile footpath – the Wayfarer’s Walk – that runs past their family stables in Kingsclere. Along the way there are charming diversions and life-changing rambles, including her take on the 2012 Olympics, but most importantly this is her story of walking home.
Clare Balding will be visiting The Hungerford Bookshop to sign copies of her new book between 1pm – 2pm this Friday (19th). The event is free (but Walking Home must be purchased from the bookshop). For any queries please call 01488 683480.
Walking Home is published by Penguin at £20 and is out now.
